What is copyright?
Copyright is a form of legal protection for creators of original works, including literary, musical, dramatic, choreographed and provides architectural works, films, sound recordings, and art, including paintings and sculptures.
Copyright protection prevents the copying of another person or with the execution of the work without the express permission of the author or creator and represents the ownership of the plant. Protection is available to both published and unpublished works. To be able to be copyrighted, a work must be original and must already be written or recorded. This is because a copyright does not protect an idea, or plan, but it protects the expression of the idea or plan.
Can a Website be copyrighted?
All of the original work or authorship on a web site can be copyrighted. This may also appear any text or article, digital graphics, photos and animations on the site. Since a website is not sent to the Copyright Office in the e-mail, the procedures for registering the contents of a website as a standard document or photo is different.
Key aspect of website is that can not be copyrighted, the website domain name. The responsibility for the domain name falls under the jurisdiction of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, a nonprofit organization in California that the responsibility for assigning domain names through accredited registers has taken over.
Who can get a copyright?
Copyright protection exists once a work is created. Copyright is by the author or creator of a piece of work or, considered in the case of labor available for hire, the employer or employer.
